Gakic? Leukic? You guys can Stick It!

I have been lifting weights since I came out of my mother's womb and I am always on top of the latest supplements and hardcore anabolic products. However, I tire of companies coming out with the "Next Big Thing" only to make more money.

Muscletech makes decent products, but they are mostly over-hyped and over-marketed, and they have very little results.

The thing is, you can get most of your valuable nutrients from high quality food. Eat lots of lean meat: turkey, tuna, chicken, lean beef. Eat good dairy like cottage cheese, hard cheeses and skim milk. And of course EXERCISE!!!

There is no quick fix. Most bodybuilders are on Roids and so you can't trust magazine's or websites these days.

Get off the couch, get in the kitchen, and then get to the gym!

Steroids, Steroids, Steroids

Growing up I used to think that bodybuilders like Ron Coleman, Frank Sepe, Chris Cormier, Jean Pierre Fux, and Greg Kovacs all got their huge muscular bodies from eating right and working out. Yeah, Right. No amount of protein or legal supplementation is going to give you a body like that - you can get really big and cut, but you can't get freaky.

The sport of Body Building is one of the few sports where your body is your competition. You have to wrestle with yourself on a daily basis trying to balance your diet and exercise levels. Cardio for keeping yourself lean has to be offset by carbs and protein. Too many of the wrong carbs and you get unwanted fat, too little and there goes the muscle and energy.

So, what should you do if you want to be a Body Builder? Find someone that can get you high quality steroids, but be prepared for the consquences... and they are many. Shrunken testes, acne, cancer, roid rage- take your pick.

And in the long run what do you think is going to happen to your body after you have forced it to overproduce by unnatural means? It's going to wear out sooner!

So go the natural way, eat healthy, have healthy kids, and leave the bodybuilding for those guys that don't mind suffering the consequences.

If You Want My Body...

... and you think I'm sexy... and you know you do, then you know what you have to do - be a hot girl that is in really good shape.

It surprises me how often people think that being in shape is something that just happens by chance - it doesn't. You have to work your body every single day. You have to watch what you eat. You must take vitamins, and then you can have a body like mine.

David Beckham, Cindy Crawford, Eva Longoria, Usher - do you think they just had God given talents, abilities, and bodies? No. They WORKED for it. They denied themselves second helpings of mashed potatoes, they spent hours training, and look at the end result- A Freakin Hot Body like mine.

Now put down that bag of chips and go for a walk lardo.

Just Eat It! (And then burn it off)

Why is it that people don't understand that exercise is important but diet reigns supreme when it comes to being healthy? What goes in is invariably going to come out - in the form of fat or muscles - you decide.

Protein builds muscle.

Good fat is necessary.

Carbohydrates should not be eaten willy nilly.

My simple diet plan is this: Eat lots of fish, chicken, and lean beef. Drink Tons of water Eat Lots of green vegetables.

Stay away from breads, pastas, soft drinks, sugary snacks. If you do eat sugar and simple carbs, then go for a run and be sure to burn it all off! Start small people, and eventually you will be kickin' A!~

You've only got one body

For some reason people don't seem to take good care of their bodies anymore. Perhaps in the current age of convenience everyone is more concerned with making money and buying things they can be proud of instead of investing time and energy into the way that they look.

Maybe that is why I keep seeing so many fat people driving around big fancy SUV's with big fat tires on them. They want you to see their car tires, not the spare tire around their midsection.

It seems that for some reason people, especially Americans, don't look at the long-term affects of eating poorly. If you take care of yourself when you are young your chances of looking and staying young are much better when you are older.

Not only do people make poor food choices on a daily basis, but they insist on other addictions like cigarettes or alcohol. Even worse some people choose drugs.

Your body is a temple and when you have lost everything else in this world it is the only thing that you will have to hold on to - so TAKE CARE OF IT!!

Start with something small like sugary drinks - give them up at least one day a week and then stretch that out to two days a week and eventually you will find that you don't want them anymore at all.

Each day do something just for your body whether it is eating a piece of fruit, taking a brisk walk, or at taking a multi-vitamin. In the end you will be glad you did and soon you might be Freakin' Hot too.

Canteloupe Glutes

Once a girlfriend of mine said, "Johan, your glutes look like someone cut a juicy canteloupe in half and stuck them to the back of your body."

I love a woman that knows how to compliment.

Glutes are an essential part of the male physique, but an even more important part of the female physique.

For guys a good glute comes from doing plenty of legs presses, lunges, and having little excess body fat. Some men suffer from a disease called "noassitol" (pronounced: no ass at all) and therefore they need to do extra glute workouts just to keep there pants above the crack line.

Women on the other hand rarely seem to have the problem of having too little butt. God knew what he was doing when he created Eve and he made women curvy and voluptuous on purpose. So ladies, if you have a healthy butt, take care of that butt with a "Buns of Steel" video or some aerobics. Excess buttage is attractive to some men, but others find it to be a turn off. What is important is that you are happy with your butt and your overall physical appearance.

Don't just watch your weight, watch your body fat percentage. Go to a gym and have your body fat taken and if it is above 20% then you really need to start working on it. Men, you should try to get yours below 10%, especially if you ever want to see your abs.
